Solo Brathuke So Better (transl. Solo living is so much better) is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by debutant Subbu and produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad. It stars Sai Dharam Tej and Nabha Natesh in lead roles. It was scheduled to release on 1 May 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film released theatrically on 25 December 2020, through Zee Studios.

REVIEW :

The film starts of with regular treatment of a TELUGU film, initially had everything that a regular commercial content needed. Right from the opening song to philosophical dialogues from the lead. The humour segments were also mostly worked out in the initial segments. Sai Dharam Tej’s screen presence meant a lot to this cliché treatment of screenplay. Though the predictability is hitting us hard , the freshness, humour and Thaman’s work made the first half a passable and bearable one.

The second half of the movie initiates with the justification of importance of the marriage and etc, even though the dialogues are clear cut and hard-hitting , the intensity was too low because of Director Subbu’s clicheness. Though Vennela Kishore managed to keep up well in the first half, poor writing and rotten execution couldn’t help the humour department as well. Nabha comes in during the halfway , with least preference given to her character designing , she meant nothing to this second half.

The second half portions made us feel like, the first half is pre-planned during the pre-production sessions, but the second half scenes were written and executed in the shooting spot itself. A pot-boiler with pinch of freshness and tons of clicheness.

VERDICT :

A regular Mega-commercial material that has nothing new or experimental, with half cooked up treatment, I state this SOLO BRATHUKE SO BETTER as FIRST HALF CHOESESI BAYATIKI VASTHE SO BETTER!! Watch it if you are a sucker of big screen experience as the theatres are opened with this content.
